Finding the Right Scale

Scale might seem perplexing for someone who is just getting to grips with things.

Scale is nothing but the proportion of the model compared to its real-life counterpart. A 1:64 scale car, like Hot Wheels or Matchbox cars, will fit in your palm easily. They are cheap, easy to store, and ideal for people wanting to have a collection of famous rides in their hands.

Step up to 1:43, and you hit the sweet spot for European and Australian motorsport replicas. It gives you crisp detail while remaining compact enough to display on a bookshelf. Then there is 1:24 scale, which offers functional opening doors and solid interior detail without costing an arm and a leg.

Finally, 1:18 scale is the king of display centrepieces. Measuring 25 to 30 centimetres long, these bad boys feature realistic floor carpeting, engine bays detailed down to spark plug wires, and working steering. Walk into any top-tier model shop in Melbourne, and these are the heavyweights drawing a crowd in display cabinets.

Diecast vs. Resin: Which Way Do You Go?

Go through any online collection database, and it is not difficult to observe that there are basically two types of model construction used: Diecast metal and synthetic resin.

The diecast cars are made by pressing zinc alloy, which is usually known as ZAMAC, together with plastic and rubber parts. They are heavy to hold, durable and mostly have removable bonnets, boots, and doors.

Models made of resin are created differently. They are cast using a liquid artificial resin and are always closed models with no moving parts. Who would want to purchase a model that won’t open? Without hinges and any gaps between body panels, manufacturers are able to create models with perfect body lines, thin window pillars, and aerodynamically perfect venting holes. Resin models are ideal for limited production models, prototype and rare race liveries, while diecast models are made for collectors.

Smart Budgeting: Don’t Bite Off More Than You Can Chew

It is easy to go on an impulse spree and buy every shiny model in sight. We have all been there. But veteran collectors will tell you straight: restraint is your best friend in this game.

Setting a strict monthly budget keeps the hobby fun and stress-free. Always focus on quality over sheer quantity. Five beautifully crafted, detailed models on a clean shelf look infinitely better than fifty random cars crammed together like a messy traffic jam.

You will also need to decide whether to keep cars sealed or unbox them:

• Mint in Box: Keeps packaging pristine, protects resale value, and makes authenticating rare releases straightforward.
• Loose Cars: Unboxed cars are noticeably cheaper, easier to showcase in custom dioramas, and let you get hands-on.

If you are looking for great value to kick off your collection, entry-level brands like Bburago, Welly, and Maisto give you plenty of bang for your buck.

Displaying and Caring for Your Cars

Sunlight and dust are deadly hazards to small-scale cars. UV radiation fades the colours and causes the clear plastic windows to become yellow after some time. Dust builds up in engine grilles and makes micro-scratches when you attempt to clean it off.

Store your precious models in sealed glass cabinets or acrylic display cases whenever possible. Open shelves invite disaster.

During cleaning time, keep the paper towels and harsh glass cleaners away because they will scratch the clear coat immediately. Instead, use a soft brush made of natural hair and a camera blower for the dust. Never pick up the models using the side mirrors or the rear spoiler. Instead, use the metallic underbody.

Rookie Mistakes to Avoid

The biggest mistake a novice collector makes is tossing away the original manufacturer’s box. No matter how much you like displaying your vehicles without any wrapping, it is important to retain the box, along with the foam inserts and certificate of authenticity, for the reasons of protection and resale value.

Also be wary of storage places for boxes. Moist sheds and excessively heated roofs lead to paint rash and corrosion of metals. The best place is indoors.

Finally, do not chase short-term internet hype. Collect what you personally love, not what an online forum claims will double in value.

Final Thoughts

Collecting fine-scale model cars takes dedication. It is not a sprint but a marathon. Take your time in selecting the right scale to collect, and take pleasure in each story in your display case.

1. Plants

Do your best to have your plants do double duty. A clematis vine can smell great and provide shade. A grapevine will provide shade and a snack. The right herbs can season your tea and keep pests away, so make space for lavender and lemongrass. Do make sure to start small. Overloading your space with plants in the spring can make for an unmanageable jungle in July and August. Let plants fill in overtime; many plants will shrink away from other plants and may become leggy and spindly if planted too close to something else.

2. Lighting

The new solar lighting options on the market mean that you can add light to nearly any space. Use string lights to add charm to a playhouse or your hobby shed. Use motion lights to increase your safety and protect the darkest corners of your home. Finally, if you have an unscreened spot where you love to hang out, add a solar-powered bug zapper to keep pests away. Avoid putting this too close to your home. A large bug caught in a zapper can catch fire.

3. Water

You can also find solar-powered water pumps that will keep the top surface of a small pond or container water feature moving and cycled. Be aware that birds often love to bathe, splash and play in these features; if they put on a show for your enjoyment, consider also putting out a feeder. Birds do many things in the water. If you notice the water getting nasty or smelly, be ready to dump, rinse and refill.

Consider adding a floating globe as well as a fountain pump if you need to keep birds out. Filling the basin of your water fixture will keep animals out and add visual interest. The sound of moving water can be incredibly soothing as well.

4. Boundaries

Define the space by adding structures. Using aluminum fences around the outside can protect your privacy and make for great neighbors. Gravel paths, particularly made up of light-colored stones for easy visibility at night, can add definition 24 hours a day. If you want to garden, consider adding timbers to elevate the level of dirt to increase your growing opportunities.

5. Furniture

A single seating piece can make a world of difference in your outdoor space. If you need tables for a meal or a drink, consider adding small trunks or bins that can also provide storage. Look for woven pieces of furniture that will shed water and avoid mildew and must. If your budget is tight, be aware that many woven pieces can be easily touched up or remade with a bit of spray paint.

6. Privacy

If your fence is open so the breeze can blow through, try to create a shaded or screened spot where you can avoid the eyes of your neighbors. Of course, you want to be friendly and have a successful relationship. However, there are times when what you really want is a moment with nobody but a good book. Plants such as bamboo can increase your privacy, as can a fabric shade structure where you can retreat from the world.

Closing Thoughts

It is time to get outside and get some fresh air! Your patio collection can grow over time. Plant bright annuals for temporary color while you create a strong collection of perennials. Treat yourself to colorful lights to help you shed the winter blahs!

We were pondering over ideas on where to go. A lunch/dinner would simply be too dull and repetitive. That’s when one of my colleagues suggested going to an escape room! After researching on various websites, we decided to go to Breakout, Koramangala. That was the closest to the office, hence easily accessible. Also, we chose to go on a weekday, so that the chances of having the place to ourselves was more.

The booking was made prior, to their website. It was an easy process. We were asked to reach the place 15 minutes earlier to complete certain formalities.  The game master took us through the format of the escape room and handed us a basic phone that we could use to contact him, in case we got stuck somewhere.

To make the experience wholesome, we were not allowed to carry our own mobiles and the clicking of pictures was strictly prohibited. I am glad it was like that since we could soak in the entire mystery-solving process without distractions!

We were about 21 people. We divided ourselves into teams of 7 each and the people at Breakout were kind enough to organize a competition between the teams to see who beats the clock faster!

The puzzles to choose from were so wide in variety. To mention a few, for example, you could play a detective solving a case or you could involve yourself in looting the vault of a bank!

Oh boy, we definitely spent a lot of time debating which one to go for!

Almost an eternity later, we settled for ‘Bank Job,’ where we had to become robbers. Our mission was to loot the extremely secure safe in the Royal Bank of Rajasthan. The safe contained antique gold bars that were worth quite a fortune!

After a briefing of the rules, we entered the escape room. The minute we stepped in, it felt like we’d been teleported into a whole different universe. Even better, it was like we were starring in a crime genre film. The room was so movie-like, with a cinematic ambiance. It was filled with props that were so convincing.

We were instructed not to change the position of the props or cause any damage to them. The game would be terminated if there was any such occurrence.  The game master announced that our time had begun. We had an hour to make our escape!

Now, who really thought we’d be pulling an Indian version of Money Heist even before it became a thing? As we shuffled around the room, the clues kept getting more confusing, but we did manage to decode them after wracking all our brains.

There was a point where we were not able to figure out a clue and the game master graciously provided us with guidance that cleared our path to the next clue!

We were running tight on time and finished exactly five minutes before an hour. The amount of relief and satisfaction we got was way more than what we felt when we cracked that deal in the office!

Maybe that’s what escape rooms essentially do. They help you get rid of stress and loosen up. They help you escape. It is an escape from real-world, into one of fantasy.

What made it unique, was the fact that we took this experience as a team. It helped us understand the importance of communication. We worked up solutions together, decisions were made unanimously.

The escape room is a thorough mix of adventure, problem-solving, and creativity. Additionally, it also challenged us into managing time efficiently. It is designed in such a manner that it serves not just as entertainment but also as a team-building activity.

By the end of it, I can guarantee that escape the rooms are indeed a great option for corporate outings. It has contributed majorly towards the bond that we all share.  We discovered how each of us possesses a skill that would’ve never come up in the work environment.

With each ticking minute, the stress begins to build up, causing tension amongst the team members as we did not want to fail.  However, by talking to one another and moving ahead with some clarity, we got to the exit. And we were on cloud nine!

The escape made everything worth it! We’d just cracked open a vault stocked up with gold, rob all of it and managed to escape after a brilliant heist. How exciting could it get? It is a healthy way to challenge your co-workers towards achieving a common goal- the escape.

Coming from the experience I’ve had, I’d suggest not to appoint power positions such as a team leader. Let go of all that for a day and act based on team consensus, where each member gets to contribute equally.

That day, we got to see everyone in a competitive spirit, without being disappointed if faced with defeat. We cheered when a team made it out the quickest, even if that meant we weren’t the winning team. It helped us mingle with people outside our department, it was a much-needed ice breaker!

I’d recommend Breakout to everyone thinking of corporate outing or team building activities. They gave us first-timers a memorable experience that we’ll cherish for the longest time.

The day filled with fun, laughter, a lot of thought, and mystery finally came to an end and we knew things were going to change on the work front when we got back, for good. I walked into the escape room with ‘colleagues’ and walked out with friends.

While a house interior may not be a palace of sorts or boast of the best Italian leather at that, it is in the warmth that we find comfort and allure; the importance of the little things that reflect our lives. It is therefore possible to consider budget decorating as a kind of conscious activity, which is the chance to fill our homes with love, care and artistry.

Now, let’s start with a few easy, but very profound concepts on how to make your home more inviting and cozy without spending too much money.

1. Custom Photo Magnets: The Complex Meanings of Small Tokens

This can be explained that generally people find themselves in relation with objects. One might get a personalised photo magnet that is as small as a button but it has the power to shift the vibration of a kitchen, a living room or wherever it is. In their smallness, these magnets capture the immensity of life’s cherished moments: a sea trip, a wedding and happy child smiling in the park, a beautiful sunlight in the afternoon in a foreign country.

Every magnet when hung on the refrigerator or any metallic object turns into a creative call to an area in a house that is personalised to represent events and people who should not be forgotten. This, of course, is where such decoration is at its most basic: it is life on one’s wall to which anyone would object if lace were not as much a part of it as salt.

Making family photo magnets is a very inexpensive way to update a home’s décor. Take a set of photos and come up with a printout that has a message which in some way is significant to you. These images can be taken to online magnet makers or photo shops for conversion to magnets for a few dollars. It’s cheap to produce them yet the feeling and beauty that comes with it is priceless. Frankly, it is as if you are putting small pieces of your life together and sew them into the very essence of life spaces.

2. Landscape Photo Prints: Art as Place

There is something captivating about a beautiful scenery, it can be a snow capped mountain, a river in the mist or a meadow of flowers. Landscape photo prints can be superbly framed and hung on a wall which makes it possible to convey the entirety of the outsides of your house. I find that these images are soothing, opens up space, especially for those of us who, like many immigrants, now live far away from these landscapes.

When selecting a landscape that could be significant, the subject of the artwork can gain an added significance if they have not seen the particular place. This could make you think of childhood holidays or the places that you always took an interest to visit. It is not about covering a bare wall but about opening a view into a different world and bringing that to the space, with a sense.

One can not necessarily splurge on expensive prints or signing up with prestigious art galleries. On the internet or in markets you can purchase stunning landscape photography. You should reproduce these photos and use a printer to print on offbeat papers, afterward, use scrapes from testing market square, inexpensive wooden or metal frames, etc. It is one of the approaches that you can use to introduce beauty and reflection to your house but is manageable in terms of cost.

3. Repurpose and Refurbish

To cope with accumulated rubbish people are constantly seeking to breathe new life into old belongings. I think we all have things in our homes that we more or less are unaware of regarding what they may bring to our lives.

A wooden coffee table which could be refinished, or a chair which could be reupholstered, a suitcase which has become rusty by remaining in the attic all these years—these are some of the most basic examples of objects which can be given a second look through a simple process which may be termed as restoration. At other times, this kind of decoration means a lot of seeing things from a different perspective, in terms of what you already have at home.

Applying polish on steel furniture, covering furniture with cheap fabric and transforming a chair into an elegant piece of furniture or converting a ladder into a bookshelf are some of the simplest ways to bring your home back to life. This practice of recycling is not only rational but spiritual, for it recaptures the dead kinetic energy of old, familiar things – and puts a new meaning into it – just like a new chapter in the immigrant’s life, where his identity is put in a new Gestalt.

4. Plants as Natural Art

The important role that a green environment plays in a house cannot be compared to nothing in the world. Plants are in fact the living decoration which introduces to the space the feeling of life and new beginning. There are many inexpensive indoor plants, and cuttings or seeds propagation is probably the cheapest option of how to green up a space.

Some examples of easier non-toxic varieties include the ones like Succulent, Pothos and Spider plant. It not only beautifies the look of the living space but also cleans the air making it an advantageous addition to the home. Buy a selection of pots which may be chipped, old, second hand or mismatched and then fill the bare corners of your homes with green plants transforming those areas into works of live art.

5. DIY Wall Art

For many artists, creating art is a passion that they do for the love of it and not necessitating the need to sell whenever an artwork is done it does not necessarily mean that the artist has to sell the piece.

Art does not necessarily have to be costly to be given a meaning and to be appreciated. Indeed, appropriate personal pieces are some of the most interesting ones that can be made by hand. On the other hand, a blank wall is an open space that is in need of creativity and there are numerous ways of making your own wall art.

One idea is to paint an abstract piece, perhaps in acrylic or watercolour, or make a fabric collage, wall hanging or use simple graduated embroidery to make a coloured work of art. Fabric samples can be framed like maps and actually it can be a nice look, instead of putting postcards or pressed flowers.

Besides, it is cheaper than buying or commissioning artwork from an artist and lets you build a home with art that is exclusive to your domicile.

6. Thrifted Treasures: Living on a Shoestring or Vintage Charm on a Shoestring

It is always amazing to stumble across an item that you will never find in any other store next to a thrift store. Everyone needs some unique and beautiful item for their homes, whether it’s a vintage lamp, hand-woven rug, or an antique mirror – furniture bought at thrift stores has that history, which modern furniture doesn’t have. Moreover, they are cheap to use, which can be considered a big plus, especially concerning other existing platforms.

The use of used items to decorate is not only financially wise but it also reduces the amount of waste that is in the market while at the same time reviving or giving new roles to existing items. These are presumably fine artefacts; items that have proven to be of high quality since they are time conditioned and can add that extra timeless element into your home.

7. Personal Collections as Decor

If I have to think about it, then there are people who love to collect things, for instance books, post cards or travel mementos. Why not use them as decorations? Instead of having these collections hidden somewhere in your home or in storage. It is possible to place the books in open shelves, the post cards can be framed and the souvenirs from your travels can be arranged in glass cases or on the side tables.

It is a cheap method of decorating with items that people have at home and gets to express oneself and experiences. Thus, the house is not only a shelter where people live, but it is the space that narrates the story of your life.

8. Swap, Don’t Shop

For anyone who is seeking to change their homes but does not wish to spend money there is always the option of borrowing décor pieces from friends or relatives. People come with things which they are no longer in need of, may it be a rug, a set of throw pillows or a piece of artwork on a wall and get something new in return. It is an informal, joyful way to update the looks of your house without having to pay a single dollar.

Final Thoughts

While designing a home, one of the key objectives is always to spend as little as possible in the process. It’s about setting up an environment that has a unique character and fits with your personal beliefs, your background and your temperament. It is not about the purchasing of new things and the cluttering of your house with such items as people may usually think of when it comes to the sale of a vase or furniture. As it always happens, it is not the cost of the products you select that signifies one’s dwelling but the memories as well as feelings associated with them.

Below are 5 expert tips for purchasing a car that can make the process easier to navigate:

1. Do Your Research

One of the most important cars buying tips may be to research various vehicle models before you even start shopping. There are tons of resources online to provide you with knowledge about various vehicles. You’ll find information on such things as safety ratings, price, available features, and performance reviews. These details can help you to make a more informed decision about the type of vehicle that will best suit your needs and budget.

2. Determine Your Budget

Speaking of budget, you’ll also want to know approximately how much you can afford to spend. Having a clear picture of your budget is necessary to guide your car buying decision. Numerous online payment calculators can help you to get an idea of what your monthly payments will be based on the cost and interest rate.

Keep in mind that interest rates will generally be higher if you have a low credit score or other risk factors. This research can save you from falling in love with a vehicle you can’t comfortably afford.

3. Consider Both New and Used Models

It’s a good idea to find a Sturgis car dealership that sells both new and used vehicles. Buying from a dealership is more convenient and reliable than dealing with private sellers, and being open to the idea of purchasing a pre-owned model can save you a lot of money. New vehicles depreciate significantly early in their lifespan.

Choosing a used model with a good reputation for performance and longevity can be a wise financial move. On the other hand, some reasons buying a new car can make sense, especially if you plan to have it for a long time to come. Keep your options open.

4. Prioritize Your Desired Features

Accessories and upgrades can enhance your driving experience. Unfortunately, they can also increase your overall car costs by quite a bit if you’re not careful. This isn’t to say that you shouldn’t get the features to make your drive easier and more enjoyable. You simply might benefit from prioritizing your list of must-haves.

5. Don’t Forget Insurance and Maintenance Costs

Finally, you’ll want to keep in mind that your expenses aren’t just limited to your monthly car payment. You’ll also have to pay for vehicle insurance. The cost of policies varies. Often, they are influenced by the retail value of your vehicle as well as your past driving record.

In addition, all vehicles require regular maintenance eventually. You’ll want to factor money into your budget for such things as oil changes, tires, batteries, wipers, repairs, and more. As your vehicle ages, you’ll likely spend more and more on these costs.

Conclusion

Keep these tips in mind when you set out to purchase a car this year. Whether new or used, buying a vehicle is a large investment. You want to be sure you’re satisfied with your purchase and that you’re getting solid value for your money. You also want to enjoy your new vehicle for years to come. A bit of careful planning will ensure you have a great car buying experience and that you drive away from the dealership in a vehicle you love.

1. Always Budget to Zero

The first step to getting your financial life in-check is to plan out and set a fixed monthly budget for your household. Prior to the start of each month, you and your spouse should budget to zero, or in other words, account for every dollar that you will accumulate for the next four weeks and classify it. Your assumed net income for the next four weeks should be allocated appropriately into categories such as rent/mortgage, utilities, phone bills, gas, etc.

But most importantly, you should have between 8-10% set aside specifically for savings or investment purposes. If you are able to set aside all of your fixed payments for the month, this includes your money to be put away, you can determine how to allocate the remaining portion of your income. And if at month’s end, you find that you have come in below budget, stock away from the remaining money as well.

2. Take Into Account Your Debt

Although it is so important to plan for the future, your current debts are a much more critical concern and should be paid off as quickly as possible. Putting away money in savings is great, but if you are someone with outstanding student loan debt, a car payment, or a recently acquired mortgage for a new home, your focus should be on getting out from under these obligations.

Your credit score is immensely important and should be taken seriously. Make more than the minimum payment if possible every month to pay off loans sooner. Saving less now while paying more to the bank will allow you to save more money once a significant portion of your debt has been paid.

3. Track Your Progress

Just like losing weight or investing in the stock market, keeping up with the headway you’ve made helps keep you focused and goal-oriented. Keep a log of the purchases you make if necessary to prevent overextending yourself. If you often rely on your credit card to make purchases, it would be beneficial to remain reserved and not add to existing debt. Using a debit card will help you keep track of the money you are spending instead of being shocked by a large bill at the end of the month from your credit card company.

4. Set Goals for Yourself

As you begin to see the results of your hard work through the growth of your savings, you should start to set attainable goals for you and your spouse. The better you become at managing your finances, the more money you will have to put away for your future. Once you have collected a considerable amount of savings, you could begin pushing some of your earnings into an investment account or strive to continuously increase the amount you hope to save on a monthly basis.

And what is important to remember is that you should never take your foot off the gas. Once you’ve established a savings routine, stick to it. It may seem exhausting having to worry about every penny you earn, but those pennies will add up when it comes time for retirement.

5. Don’t Make Comparisons

Many people are prone to compare themselves to friends, neighbors and loved ones when it comes to physical possessions and wealth. Although it may seem easy to say you don’t have the same luxuries as others, you don’t fully know anyone else’s financial position but your own. It could be that while they spend all of their money on boats, pools, and motorcycles, they aren’t properly saving or investing for retirement which will make things much more challenging financially later on in their lives.

All you can worry about is your own financial well-being and do everything you can to support your family adequately. Accumulating wealth takes years, so pace yourself and feel proud of how much you have not only earned, but have managed to put away for retirement.

The foremost type of canvas prints is named ‘inkjet art’ and involves exploitation massive format inkjet printers that use pigment repository inks for printing the image on canvas materials. The resolution of the resulting prints can be remarkable, the maximum being 2880 x 1440 DPI (dots per inch) at the time of writing this article. The pigment is a specific type of ink that ensures both stable color gamut representation and resistance for UV rays and other external factors like dust and moisture.

Let us explore the key factors in buying photos on canvas prints online:

Cotton or Poly-Cotton Canvas?

The canvas may be either pure cotton or a mix between cotton and polyester, most canvas suppliers state on their websites which type of canvas they use. Generally the pure cotton canvas prints are more expensive. The pure cotton canvas gives the print a more natural look, the texture appears closer to the traditional painting, whereas the poly-cotton mix gives the picture more plastic or linen look appearance.

Once the picture is printed, the material is varnished and stretched on a stretcher frame, this is a specific type of wooden timber frame that has wedges in each corner which allows you to re-tension ( re-stretch) the canvas material at anytime by pushing these wedges towards the frame’s corners. My advice is that you shouldn’t buy a canvas print that is just sticked on a wooden panel, having it properly framed the traditional way that involves stretching on the wedged timber frame ensures durability of the print, as the canvas may appear a bit loose after some time and you need those wedges to be able to re-stretch it again.

What photos are suitable for printing on canvas?

Photo Resolution: The quality of the canvas print is directly proportional with the resolution of your photo. Generally you shouldn’t submit a photo that has less than 250KB, as it may appear ‘pixelated’, even on a 10x10cm print. When choosing an online canvas shop make sure that their website has a photo checking tool, once you upload your photo the tool tells you whether the resolution of your photo is suitable for the canvas size you selected.

Dimensions: If you know the dimensions of your photo (most Mac and Windows systems show this info in the photo properties box) you can determine the resulting print resolution by dividing the number of pixels your photo has by the number of inches the canvas print size selected by you has. For example if your photo has 5000 pixels horizontally, and you want a print that has a width of 50 centimeters, the resulting print will have around 5000pixels/20inches=250 DPI horizontal resolution. The same calculation applies to vertical resolution. A print that has at least 250 DPI, on canvas, is a fairly good looking print.

The calculation above represents the true resolution, however the professional printers using various software can ‘enrich’ photos that have lower resolution, there are several algorithms that actually enlarge a photo and increase the resolution at the same time by artificially creating pixels, the resulting print however may present patterns like minor squares or circles.

Cropping or Resizing?

A good online canvas print shop should present you the layout of the resulting canvas before you buy. Because there are several aspect ratios that photos have (4:3, 3:2 for example – the aspect ratio is number of pixels horizontally divided by number of pixels vertically), your photo may need some cropping and without seeing what the designer is going to crop from your photo you obviously run the risk of getting the print that you don’t want.

If your photo has an aspect ratio of 3:2 and you select for example an 40x30cm canvas, the photo will be either cropped or resized to that dimension. As mentioned before, when you order the website should give you the control and allow you to crop or resize the photo the way you want it to see on the canvas.

Who takes the risk?

Canvas prints made from your photos are classified as personalized goods, you should check the seller’s terms and conditions referring to returns and cancellations. Not all sellers will reprint your canvas unless is damaged. Unlike with other items purchased online, where you have a specific time period during with you can test the item and return it if you don’t like it, with the personalized items the situation is different.

The pure fact that you don’t like the print doesn’t give you immediately the right to return it, so read carefully the terms and conditions of the seller. Even if they provide a return or refund in case the print arrives faulty, make sure that they describe exactly what a faulty item is. For example if your picture is cropped in a different way than you expected- you would consider the print faulty, however the printer may argue and not recognize this as a fault.
