Make similar markings on the door threshold as well so that you know exactly where the screws will be drilled.

Place The Door Bar

Putting the wings of the door threshold over the carpet gripper, and taking a cue from the pilot holes, place it properly. Insert the screws as per the markings. Tighten them to make sure that any movement of the threshold is prevented.
